Only a small scale operation at present, Hollis Gardens has its sights set high. The introduction of the Rhode Island Red laying hen to the production has been nothing but success. Hollis Gardens is certified organic by the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA). NOFA holds annual conferences in order to bring the appropriate tools and education to organic farmers in the state. NOFA also has a strict application process in order for farmers to be labeled CERTIFIED ORGANIC. Please look for this certification on all your organic foods. You will see a very distinct seal stating that your produce or food has been properly certified.
